New Experimental Armor Developed in The Reunited States

After years and years of experiments, failures, trails, and multiple different versions; a finished version of what the Reunited States Army calls “R-28 Power Armor” has been developed and is now being rapidly implemented across the armed forces. The new suit of armor is similar to the protection of a tank, but with advantages in agility. While the traditional tank is certainly faster and more heavily armored, it cannot be denied that this innovation will change how infantry and mechanized warfare will be fought. The power source for this new type of armor remains partially classified, and is only purchasable from the Reunited States government. From what limited information is made available to the public, it appears to run on some sort of nuclear energy; which the government has also been investing very heavily into during the past decade.

A civilian version has also been developed specifically to protect workers while working on deep crust mining and excavation. The civilian version is an outdated prototype that has been further modified for civilian use by order of President McCaghren after hearing about its potential use towards boosting resource exploitation in the nation. The civilian prototype will be further modified by government researchers to further ensure the safety, reliablility, and output of the armored suit. It remains to be seen if different variations of this civilian version will be produced, but one thing is certain; this new technology will change not only the country, but the world, forever.

The states in the Union will receive military versions of the armor for their National Guard units and will see extremely limited use by civilian police forces. Standard paint jobs will be mandated by the states as according to their own design, insignias, and cultural influences to differ themselves from other Reunited States Power Armored Forces. Integrated gas masks in the helmets protect the user from dangerous fumes and toxins while keeping power usage at a minimum. Several different versions of the military armor are already confirmed to exist, with several rumored types not yet being confirmed. Some of these rumored designs may include jetpacks and the ability to fly or likewise be launched high into the sky.
