I, Keller Drew McCaghren, do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States. So help me God."
President Keller McCaghren (R) said these words at the Capitol today after winning a landslide victory to remain the President of the United States. In his second inaugural address, the President had this to say:
“In such a time as this, it comes upon us, the American people, to decide on how we wish to rebuild our nation. I believe with every fiber of my being, that we can come together again and rebuild our country from the great collapse the devastated the world. We will rise above what we once were and forge a new path for ourselves, for our children, and for our nation. I would like my children to know and live in the country that we once knew and grew up in. The country that stood for what was right and just in the world. Today, the light of liberty has faded, but has not yet been extinguished. The government by the people, for the people, and of the people still yet survives! As long as there are men and women who are willing to carry liberty's torch alongside the star spangled banner, we will never fall!”
Inspiring words from the President who still faces the most daunting task of any American President: reuniting the nation. Whether he will succeed with the help of the newly introduced Operation Phoenix, the program by which American nations will be allowed to enter or re-enter the Union, remains to be seen.
