In a surprise announcement yesterday, Piotr 'Heat' Kaczmarek, the Republican freedom fighter and leader of the Radical Socialist (RadSoc) Party announced that he would not be running in the nation's 14th General Elections and is resigning as party president. This announcement comes as a surprise to many who thought that Comrade Piotr would be running for Supreme Winner this year too. Arun Sampath, brother of ex-Union Regulator Rajesh Sampath, has now been declared the new president of the RadSoc Party. What this holds for the RadSocs is unknown. This election is certainly the most important for the Republic's fate. This election is a chance for the Moderate Socialist (ModSoc) Party to win for the first time in 12 years. However, a growing tide of nationalism could also give the Ek Bharat Janata Sangh a chance at victory. After the infamous 'Eight Years of Tyranny', this could very well be a last chance for the Centrists to win before they disappear into obscurity. The Blue Legion continues to grow in popularity with their slogan of 'Not left, not right, we go forwards'. This election is certainly going to be the most contested one by far.
