Nagaland-Manipur Elections

The state of Nagaland-Manipur is an union of two regions, Manipur and Nagaland. This state is a Christian Majority state with a significant Hindu Minority in the Manipur valley. The state has been mostly dominated by Congress and the Liberal Party.

This election reported a sharp increase in votes from 79% to 85%. Instead of fights that used to happen between Kukis, Nagas and Meiteis, there was campaigning that was conducted side by side by them in all the three fronts. The election happened in a single day. After elections, results were announced in the state television, autonomous district televisions, radio operators and other cable tv channels.

Tristan Da Cunha Election

Tristan Da Cunha has mostly been an uninhabited place, with little to no population of 300 according to 2081 census, because of which it was part of the Bengal legislative assembly itself. But a recent boom of population urged the election commission to conduct elections. A total of 7500 people were registered to be voting in the small island, mostly protestant Christians of Korean, Chinese and Japanese descent and Catholic Bengali Lusophonic descent alongside a Bihari Hindu minority involved in farms in the island.

The Conservatives, Congress and CPEI contested in the elections.

There was relatively peaceful campaigning in the island. A whopping 99% voting was recorded in the island, due to low population at the first place and incentives by the state government to vote.
