First-term President Nicholas Nguyen is beloved at home, currently holding a 58 percent overall approval rating among voters and is making waves internationally. The popular Vietnamese leader was recently named to Forbes magazine's list of the World's Most Powerful People, coming in at 13. The first and highest for a Vietnamese leader in the magazine's history.

The 31-year-old grandson of the late great Army general Nguyen H.K. also made Forbes list of Most Richest Royals, despite not being a royal with a net worth of $376 million. The President is loosely connected to the Nguyen dynasty of 1802-1955. Prior to running for President, President Nguyen was CEO of Dynasty Corporation, Vietnam's largest business conglomerate. By law, President Nguyen cannot own any business interest, therefore all of the president's business interests are in a blind trust for as long as he is in office. The Dynasty Foundation Trust was incorporated in 2019 after the president assumed office.

In years past, President Nguyen has constantly ranked in the top 3 of Forbes 30 Under 30 and 30 Under 30 in Asia lists peaking at number 1 after winning the presidency in 2019, since celebrating his birthday this past October is no longer eligible for that list.
