Media Revamp

 

Foxburo Journals new president has launched a media revamp with a new logo and article structure. This will be the first issue of the new Foxburo Journal. Topics will now each have their own section and posting titles will be by issue number. Several critics have already shown their support for the new, more professional look.
 

Foxburo Increases Military Budget

 

With all the new growth in the economy, President Fox Fire and the Senate have agreed to increase military spending with addition of more war ships and the expansion of the intelligence agency. Military analysts and Foxburo generals agree that after the devastating losses at sea during the Mensa-SI war, expansion of the navy is needed in order to secure trading routes and keep the nation safe.
 

Mt. Aen Erupting

 

Earlier this morning at the break of dawn, near the city of Swords, loud explosions were heard coming from Mt. Aen. Moments later, liquid magma, ash and debris could be seen spewing from the mountain. Nearly 10,000 homes have been evacuated, 3 people have died and 17 are reported missing. Several inches of ash are expected to cover the city throughout the eruption.
Geologists say this eruption is rather small compared to the mountains full potential and that the eruption should subside within about a week. The governor of the Swords province has issued a state of emergency as the national guard and emergency workers from all over the nation have been dispatched to the area to provide relief and assistance. 
 

Foxburo Soccer Team Outraged At Exclusion From World Cup

 

Foxburos national soccer team was excluded from the World Cup this year due to a limited number of entries. The coach and players expressed their displeasure with the decision in a press conference.

We have just as much of a right to play in the World Cup as any nation. Our players are some of the best!

Exclaimed Coach Yang.
Tens of thousands of fans are disappointed by the decision and  have expressed their outrage over social media with hashtags like #WorldCap and #SAEvil. Many fans have exclaimed that they will refuse to watch the World Cup this year.
When asked if the team plans to try to compete in next years cup, coach Yang assured reporters that team Foxburo will make it into the next cup or die trying.
